Filipina in Dubai Gang Raped and Brutally Slashed All Over Her Body
Saturday, April 10, 2010 Posted by relentless
I stumbled upon this video few minutes ago in facebook, shared by a friend of mine. It was from a reliable source who works in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I felt dizzy while watching this video and looking at the poor victim... I can't imagine the pain that she's gone through. This video shows that the girl is still in Glasgow Coma Scale (GSC) 15. FYI, the GSC is being measured between 3 and 15. 3 being the worst and 15 as the best. The original story as posted in facebook is quoted below. Please watch the video and spread the word until it reach the authorities.
Pleas watch and let us HELP this Filinina, From a very reliable source, she was working in Abu Dhabi, UAE. this girl, together wid her filipina friend also was about to go home from a party. While on the taxi, the 2 felt asleep due to liquor. The Pakistani Taxi driver bcalled up his friends, he drove the car somewhere in the area and Brutally raped the 2 girls. (gang rape). after doing such thing, they also use a sharp object to cut their skin, that also cutthe other girls' breast that made her bleed to death. the other one managed to escaped sufferring cuts and was able to rush into a government hospital, a well known state of the art hospital. this video shows that the filipina is still GCS 15, wid controlled bleeding. still the cuts have not yet been stitched. 3 days after. this Filipina died. no knows why, even the staff are fordidden to say something. TOTAL News Blackout where implemented that's why this news didn't came to manila, we dnt know who she was, and who are her relatives here in our country, pls lets help and justice be sentenced to the group or pakistani who raped them.. we should not let this happen again, we have some relatives abroad and even some of us are planning to work abroad. my source told told me that the hospital was owned by the King, and ordered news blackout so that their image as zero-crime will still stay the same.
With all the due attribution to the original poster of this particular story, I have no way to check the authenticity but I have a strong feeling that this really happened.
To those who plan to work abroad, in the Emirates in particular, take this as a warning. Apply necessary precautions when having a good time outside your resident. If you want to drink, better do it at home rather than outside and suffer this kind of tragedy. Take this as a case: 2 drunk girls riding a taxi in a foreign land. They got all the factors of vulnerability and anything can just happen in a snap. When in this kind of situation, it is better to ask friends to fetch and drive you home.

Very Disturbing! Nasa UAE ako together with my family. I guess the moral lesson is, please obey the rules and regulations of the country you are living in. Hindi pwedeng gawin mo sa ibang bansa ang ginagawa mo sa Manila. We all know, bawal ang alak sa middle east. This is so sad. I believe no one deserves this. I'll pray for their souls and forward this blog, hope justice will be served.

this news has been circulating through the internet few days now. but still there is no follow up news regarding the identification of the victim, we haven't have info from where in the Philippines this poor lady hailed from. Just wondering how would be the Phil. Embassy in Dubai handles this. If all the Filipinos back home will check their relatives abroad, perhaps she'll be identified and her companion too., thus our government might have something to do to help the family find justice for her.

Really horrible and my heart goes out for them and their families. But I do not put the blame on them but on the culture of the country where they are. We know that in countries like India and Pakistan where Islam is prevalent, going to parties and being intoxicated seem to be an excuse for gang rape and even murder. It's not because they're christian because they do it even to their own people. They even resort to burning the person while alive. So sick a culture. Knowing that there are a lot of these uneducated people straight from far off villages who work in the Middle East, Filipinos who are dispatch to these countries should have been forwarned not only in pre departure orientations. What seems ordinary and acceptable in the Phils can be highly taboo in those countries and may mean life. So sad. Those girls like me went abroad to flee the jungle of poverty in the Phils. without knowing that the very place we're going is an entirely different jungle, a form of modern day slavery. Whereas the OFW are considered modern day heroes, we don't want to be a dead hero with a pauper's burial, nor a living hero but still treading the povery line while the capitalist-employer is running out of idea where to hoard his wealth. So sad really. I pray to God that may these things
end. Iam truly at a loss both with my emotion and words. As I don't know as I'm not yet computer literate, could Miss Blogger post this to Timog Forum. Iam in Japan and there's alot of Filipinos who should see this. Please. Thank you..

I can't help but comment. As I'm not computer literate, this is my 2nd try. The first one went pffftt when I click the wrong button. My heart goes to these two and their families. I don't want to appear hard-hearted and I don't want to blame the girls but the culture of the country they are now. Being in the Middle east and most Indians and Pakistani working there come from so backward villages where women from their own race are either rape or killed for doing taboo acts. Pre departure orientations for Filipinos going Middle East or other countries with highly strange culture must be very explicit and detailed. Simple and ordinary things in the Phils are a great taboo to those countries warranting rape and murder. So sad. So horrible. I'm really running out of words and emotion. We OFW's are supposed to be modern day heroes. We left the jungle of poverty in the Phils only to find a different brand of jungle inwhich we are not accustomed to. As I'm not computer literate really, May I request Miss blogger to please post the same to Timog Forum. Iam in Japan and ours is a different jungle too but a lot of Filipinos here may not know this at all. I would appreciate your positive response. Thank you and more power.

So horrible and I'm running out of words and emotion. My heart goes to these girls and their families. May I request Miss Blogger to please post the same to Timog Forum as the rest of the Filipinos might not have seen this. So tragic. We OFW's left the jungle of povery in the Phils only to find another jungle strange than the one we left where usual things we do becomes taboo worth of rape and even murder.

The Philippine government should help this two Filipina find justice, this should never happened again. If only our own country can provide sufficient work for us, there is no reason for the Filipinos to find work abroad.

ayako831- i had just heard this blog and event from a coleague and my friend. the person who did this to the woman is inhuman and has a criminal mind. no such sane person can do such a thing to a live human being...i hope our president will act on this matter and justice will prevail. to the country which this event has happened i hope that you will give justice to what this woman has suffered and that you must also remember that we are all human beings which has the right to live and must experience the just and fare justice system which your country is giving to the people.
