As early as 5a.m. people were gathered around Citi Field and draw themselves together in the cold, waiting for the 200 free buses to take them to their capital.
I really wanted to facilitate people going to the rally, said Arianna Huffington, creator of the Huffington Post, who paid for the buses. I think we can undo some of the demonizing and scapegoating that has been going on. This is to show we can disagree and still speak civilly to one another.
This is not about the elections on Tuesday. This is about the future of the country, she saidThe emcees are Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show" and Stephen Colbert from "The Colbert Report". They said that the rally is non-political even though the mid-term election is approaching.
The people arrived wearing stickers and waved signs to urge the Americans to chill out.
Moreover, VP is rumored to have a cameo appearance but his office informed that he would be going to Massachusetts campaigning for endangered Democrats.
